A visit to Saint Stephens Historical Park is a way to introduce children and adults to Alabama's rich heritage. Take a walking tour through the historic heart of Old St. Stephens, or stroll to the cemetery. Get in touch with the beauty of southwestern Alabama. There are many recreational activities available for visitors, including fishing, RV camping, primitive camping, biking, birdwatching, horseback riding, picnicking, and hiking. You can drop by the St. Stephens Trading Post store to pick up essentials for your visit.

Visit the 100-acre lake for a delightful summer dip in its cool waters, and see the wildflowers that nod gently in the breeze. Breathtaking limestone cliffs border the aquamarine lake, the perfect place for an afternoon boat trip. At the beach are camping, swimming, and picnic facilities and a boat ramp.

Or you can take a refreshing walk through the forests of Old St. Stephens. The forests are graced with great scenic beauty. In spring, blossoms of the redbuds and dogwoods provide bright splashes of color against the pale green of the young leaves, and the air is fragrant with the perfume of honeysuckle blossoms. Throughout the year you can hear the calls of many native and migratory birds. Birds of prey and butterflies are also frequent visitors. Don't forget to bring your camera!
